The iPhone is one of the best mobile gaming devices on the market right now. It has the power to run games that rival what you’d find on a home console, which makes it a fantastic choice for gamers who want to take their experience with them wherever they go. It’s not just about performance either, the iPhone has some great games available from both major studios and indie developers alike.
However, there are a lot of games out there, but we’ve rounded up some of the best iPhone games to help you find something new to play. This is an incomplete list of games that are currently available on iOS, so the list will be updated when a new good game comes out.
INSIDE is a puzzle-platformer that follows the lead of Playdead’s previous game, LIMBO. Similar to LIMBO which was a dark and disturbing story about death, INSIDE is pretty much the same but with different kinds of puzzles and storylines. You play as a young boy who wakes up in a strange laboratory that forces him to run and jump his way through increasingly difficult puzzles. Even though the game is mostly set up in a black and white environment, the game looks gorgeous. Thanks to its simple but detailed art style for making it one of the most gorgeous games on mobile devices.
2. Mimpi Dreams
The Mimpi dreams are all about exploring dream worlds and using the power of your mind to solve puzzles. They’re surreal and challenging, but they also have a whimsical quality that makes them oddly enjoyable even when you’re stuck on a puzzle. In a nutshell, you control a dog facing various challenges to complete a level. The game is free for up to 5 levels and future stages can be played for a price.
Monument Valley 2 is every bit as beautiful and clever as its predecessor — maybe even more so. It adds new mechanics that make it even more fun to play than the original title, including more complex puzzles and more interesting levels of interaction between objects in the world (like doors being able to move around in space). If you haven’t played either Monument Valley game yet, do yourself a favor and grab both now!
Alto’s Adventure is an endless snowboarding game where you play as a shepherd who goes on a journey to restore his community’s stolen herd of llamas. The gameplay is simple but addictive. You can play the game by tapping on the screen to jump and hold to perform tricks in the midair. The goal is to get as far as possible without crashing into any obstacles. The farther you go, the more competitive the game will become.
Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom is an endless runner where you play as Sonic or Tails (and later Knuckles) trying to dash through obstacles without getting caught by Dr. Eggman’s robots or falling off cliffs or into water pits. The gameplay is simple, tap on either side of the screen to jump over obstacles but what makes it so addictive are the characters and their unique abilities.
Another awesome game for your iPhone, Oddmar is a great adventure game that takes place in an ancient Viking world full of magic and mystery. The basic plot of the game is controlling a Viking who is looking to redeem himself to earn his place in Valhalla.
If you have played Leo’s fortune before, you might be familiar with the controls. Tapping the right side of the screen will make the Viking jump and the left side will let you control the horizontal movement of the Viking.
Faraway 4: Ancient Escape is a prequel to the previous Faraway escape games. The story plot of the game is that an archeologist discovers a strange thing that transports him into a weird world. The objective is to solve various puzzles that will help you to escape the world.
Asphalt 9: Legends is one of the best racing games for iPhones. You can race in different locations around the world, including New York, Shanghai, and The Caribbean. Bacon Escape 2 is an adventure game that has been developed and published by Illusion Labs, the developers behind Mr.Crab 2.
In this game, you play as a pig who has crashed his ship on a planet and trying to escape from that planet. To escape, he must collect stars which are used to repair his ships. Your task is to collect as many stars as possible which increases the possibility of repairing the ship.
When playing this game, it’s important to remember that pigs don’t have wings — so try not to fall off any ledges!
Hungry Shark World is one of my favorite games. In this game, you play as a shark trying to eat everything in the ocean. You can eat almost everything that is smaller than you in the size. You can unlock bigger and more powerful sharks once you collect enough coins to buy them.
There are literally 38 specials of sharks that you can play as. Overall, it’s a fun JAW-dropping angry shark game that craves to eat everything.

Oxenfree is an adventure game based around a group of teenagers who go out on an overnight trip to an island off the coast of their hometown. The player takes control of Alex, one of these teens who discovers strange, otherworldly things after a door unexpectedly opened.
It’s a story-driven experience with some light puzzle elements thrown in for good measure, so if you’re looking for something that focuses more on plot than action but still has plenty of both then this might be the perfect choice for you! It’s pretty much similar to Netflix’s stranger things.
The game has multiple endings, make sure to replay it to discover all the endings.
Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is an action role-playing video game developed and published by Square Enix. It is a scaled-down version of the original Final Fantasy XV, with similar gameplay containing 10 chapters to play.
You can play as Noctis and his friends as they journey across Eos in their quest to stop Niflheim from taking over their homeland!
15. Genshin Impact
The Genshin Impact is one of my favorite and best action titles available on the App Store right now. It has an amazing story and great gameplay mechanics that will keep you engaged for hours at a time. The story element of the game keeps getting added which makes it one of the biggest story games on the app store. The game also offers multiplayer support so that you can play with your friends online!
16. PUBG Mobile

It’s a third-person shooter where you control an Imperial Knight (a super-powered mech suit) as you fight your way through hordes of enemies. The mech suit can be upgraded to make it more powerful as you progress through the game.
There is also a multiplayer mode available where you fight against other players’ mech suits.
18. The Witness
The Witness is an exploration puzzle game where you explore an island to solve puzzles. The puzzles start off simple enough and it gets harder as you progress. But the game is still fun to play even if you don’t complete them all because there are so many different puzzles to solve!
19. NBA 2K
NBA 2K is one of the best sports titles on iPhone right now, thanks to its great graphics and realistic gameplay mechanics. The game is based on a popular basketball league in America known as National Basketball Association (NBA). There are a lot of modes to try out where you build your own team or create your own player and see how they perform in real games against other players online.
If you’re an NBA fan, you should never miss this game.

It is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tied up, and killed.
25. Alien Isolation
If you’re looking for a good scare, look no further than Alien: Isolation. You play as Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley (the main character from the original movie), who is searching for her missing mother aboard an abandoned space station. The story is driven by its characters rather than its action, which makes it stand out among other games in the genre. There are plenty of jump scares, but they work well because they’re not overdone.
This game is the direct mobile version of the PC version with an almost similar experience with mind-blowing graphics. If you really want to test out your iPhone’s graphics, then this must be the game to try out.
